It’s here! Tonight at 6pm the doors at aMBUSH gallery in Sydney’s Waterloo open up to show you what Renee and I (Angela) have been working on! (We might just be enjoying a little glass of this to celebrate!)
We’ll be commemorating 40 years since the break up of the British 20th Century musical icons, The Beatles, by launching an exhibition which featurs works inspired by the concept of break ups, musical or otherwise called DisBand.
We’ll have proudly set the gallery space up with the original artworks (which also happen to be for sale) by some of the finest (and the sweetest) young emerging artists in our lovely indie community.
The space will also feature an installation which we will have set up to look like the living space of a couple currently undergoing such a break up. The music featured will be all things Beatles, with a play list especially created with the concept in mind.
You can expect to see works by::
Ben Zen :: Caitlin Shearer :: Courtney Brims :: Elisa Mazzone :: Enyáj :: Erin Flannery :: Jessica Hyde :: Jessica Klingelfuss :: Jordan Clarke :: Kelly Smith :: Laura McKellar :: Manuela Strano :: Natalie Perkins :: Rebecca Murphy :: Renee Anne :: Tabitha Emma
Head over to the DisBand web site to check out some of the previous works by these special youngsters, to see our opening hours (if you can’t make it to opening night) and to learn more about our team of lovely supporters including frankie magazine, the finders keepers, daily addict, The Design Files, explore the kerb, aMBUSH gallery and Vinaceous wines.
All are welcome so please do bring everyone you know and support Australian creatives (please do – even if it’s raining!!). Feel free to say howdy to Renee or myself if you can find us!
