Talented Australians aged 30 and under across seven creative fields – fashion, film & animation, industrial & object design, music, photography, visual arts, visual communication – are invited to submit their work for a chance to financial support in the form of $5000 in cash and $5000 in Qantas flights, as well as a rare 12-month mentorship opportunity with leading lights of the international creative community.
In 2010, SOYA boasts a stellar line-up of inspirational mentors; Marc Newson (Design), Nicky and Simone Zimmermann (Fashion), Jan Chapman (Film), Tony Mott (Photography), Lee Groves (Music), Elizabeth Ann MacGregor (Visual Arts) and Deanne Cheuk (Visual Communication). As success stories in their respective fields, these industry leaders know that getting a break and having the right doors opened can launch a creative career.
