Tell me that you love me more

Since it’s been a little while since I wrote, I’m dying to write about a thousand different things. Rather than confuse you, the reader, with my rantings I will instead attempt to convey the wonder I experienced on Friday night when I saw Feist do her thing at Sydney’s Metro.

Having explained that I saw her to several people brought responses such as “yeeeah…she’s that bird that sings that eBay song, right?”…..and “naaaaah….stupid….it’s the iPod song with the chick in the blue sequin jumpsuit!”.

Whilst both of these things are indeed true (NB: Song being referred to is 1,2,3,4 from The Reminder) Leslie Feist is so much more than that.

She has an incredibly strong stage presence, an awesome collection of vintage guitars that she plays exceedingly well, a back catalogue of incredible tunes and an ability to draw the audience in with every move, every breath, every note.

For those of you who caught sight of her during her sideshows from St. Jerome’s Laneway, or even at the festival itself you will know what I’m talking about. For those who don’t? Get some.
