Tonight sees the opening night in Federation Square of the Melbourne International Arts Festival, showcasing the musical, theatrical, dance and artistic works of both Australian and International creatives.
Grab tickets to see musicians Megan Washington, Patti Smith, Pikelet or Camille O’Sullivan (pictured above) at the varied awesome Melbourne venues. Catch The Melbourne Ukelele Collective at the Famous Spiegeltent; a spectacle in and of itself!
Check out exhibitions like 21:100:100 which features 100 works by 100 sound artists produced in the 21st century or Objects of Life, featuring the photographs and objects inspired by Steven Sebring’s time with Patti Smith during the filming of their extraordinary documentary Dream of Life. For the hard core fans, there is a Dedication to Allan Ginsberg by Patti Smith and Philip Glass, for both of whom Ginsberg was a mentor.
Get amongst it – these are the kinds of events that make life rich and interesting.
