Moonlight Cinema

Now that the festivities are (almost) over, it’s time to plan out the best time of the year; January. There’s a languid feeling in the air, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed holiday makers are smiling on the streets.

One of the main attractions for me at this time of year is Moonlight Cinema. Now held nationally, this evening picnic meets outdoor film event is one of the most enjoyable and memorable ways to watch movies.

From new and recent releases to cult favouries and cinema classics, tonight in Sydney you can catch Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (as seen above) while later in the month you can watch Up on “doggie night” (yes, you bring your dogs!).

So whether you’re in Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, check out the programme and buy tickets online, maybe you’ll see Breakfast at Tiffany’s in the evening breeze, watch Avatar in the outdoors or check out your favourite musicals from The Wizard of Oz to Grease over a lovely plate of antipasto and a glass of wine. It’s oh-so-civilised and so much fun!
